ICONE DELLA COLLEZIONE DELLO STEDELIJK

Nel 2017 lo Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam inaugura una nuova grande presentazione permanente esponendo più di 750 opere iconiche scelte dalla sua collezione, e questo per sempre.

Nell’intero piano terra e in parte del primo piano verranno mostrati i punti salienti dell’arte moderna dalla fine del 19° secolo ad oggi. Attraverso un mix di arti visive e design vengono illustrate diverse correnti come Bauhaus, De Stijl, CoBrA e pop art, con opere di grandi rappresentanti come Karel Appel, Paul Cézanne, Marc Chagall, Marlene Dumas, Wassili Kandinsky, Edward Kienholz, Willem De Kooning, Jeff Koons, Kazimir Malevich, Henri Matisse, Piet Mondriaan, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Gerrit Rietveld, Ettore Sottsass e Andy Warhol. Questo allestimento unico, ideato da Rem Koolhaas, ti guiderà attraverso gli sviluppi dell’arte moderna e contemporanea seguendo un percorso logico in cui vengono illustrati i vari legami trasversali.

Il piano terra dello Stedelijk è dedicato a presentazioni a tema basate sulla collezione, che analizzano le opere da prospettive sempre nuove e attuali. Il primo piano è riservato a mostre temporanee in continua rotazione.
